The Goldfarb Breastfeeding program

The Goldfarb Breastfeeding program of the Herzl Family Practice Centre, Sir Mortimer B. Davis-Jewish General Hospital, Montreal, Canada, was established in May 2002.

The program was founded by Lenore Goldfarb, B. Comm, B. Sc., Dip.C., IBCLC, Perle Feldman, M.D., FCFP, and Carole Dobrich, R.N., IBCLC.

The program consists of a hospital based breastfeeding clinic that is available to the public free of charge, with 3 consult rooms as well as an education program whereby obstetrical fellows, medical students, nurses, and candidates for the IBCLC exam, may obtain clinical training. This is the only breastfeeding clinic on the entire island of Montreal.

This clinic follows in the footsteps of several clinics
that have been established by Dr. Jack Newman in Toronto, Canada.
